From freelancing positions to full time remote jobs, the options are limitless for those who want to work from home. Not sure where to find a remote job? Use these 10 sites to find your dream job and never work in an office again.

1. AngelList

AngelList is a great resource if you’re looking to work in the startup world. AngelList features nearly 20,000 startups with open positions. What’s great is that once you upload your profile, applying is an easy as a click of a button. Job categories include developer, designer, marketing and sales. The site has featured jobs from companies like Yelp, Warby Parker, Instacart and Tinder.

2. NexRep

NexRep is a work-from-home contractors dream! This website posts remote contract positions for big big-name clients like Grubhub and Priceline. Most of the positions available are customer service positions. You might not find a huge amount of job listings here, but if the customer service industry is your forte NexRep is the place to look. Nearly all of the positions offer flexible, part-time work schedules, and pay typically starts at $10 an hour.

3. FlexJobs

FlexJobs is different from other remote job finders in a huge way. FlexJobs hand-screens each posting to be sure each company is reputable. So no more to good to be true opportunities and wasted applications for fake companies.

But here’s the catch: To get the full details of a job listing, apply or access other perks (like the skills test), you must sign up for a $14.95-per-month membership. Take a look to see whether you find enough openings relevant to your experience before signing up.

4. Jobspresso

Jobspresso only lists remote jobs, meaning you won’t have to search through the job description and hope that the roles is actually remote. The only catch? Some positions may require you to work in a certain time zone or state. Simply select “Browse Jobs” and either choose all remote jobs or search by a career category.

5. Remote OK

Remote OK is mostly technology-based gigs, but if you’re not in the tech world they do have a few non-tech jobs. Be sure to sign up for daily, weekly or monthly emails or automated updates. You can also follow them on Twitter as Remote OK’s tweets are almost all about job opportunities.

Why You Should Visit Jackson Hole This Winter http://centrecourt-apts.com/why-you-should-visit-jackson-hole-this-winter/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/why-you-should-visit-jackson-hole-this-winter/#respond Mon, 03 Feb 2020 16:08:09 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=12227

While you probably haven’t thought about visiting Jackson Hole in the winter unless you’re an avid skier, the area offers many amazing reasons to visit. So whether you’re a winter sports enthusiast or just someone looking to have an amazing time amongst an amazing landscape, Jackson Hole is the place for you.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

With 2,500 acres of in-bound terrain for avid skiers and snowboarders, this mountain ranks high on the list for the best mountain in the U.S. Climbing to the top of 10,450 feet on the Aerial Tram, the views back into Jackson Hole are unlike any other. It also offers the best after skiing apres that any resort can have to offer, with multiple opportunities for shopping as well as sloshies galore (which are boozy slushies if you were wondering).

Grand Teton National Park

With massive jagged mountains peeking out above the clouds, Grand Teton National Park has everything your nature heart could ever ask for. With dramatic yet natural beauty, these infamous peaks offer opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking all winter long. Don’t have the gear you need? Be sure to stop by Jackson Hole Mountain resort for all your winter rental needs.

Yellowstone National Park

The nation’s oldest and most frequented National Park is quite beautiful when draped in a blanket of snow. Only accessible by snowmobile and snow coach, an adventure filled with adrenaline and iconic sights like Old Faithful is available to all ages.

Outdoor Activities Galore

If skiing and snowboarding aren’t quite your cup of tea, there are plenty of other outdoor activities you can engage in while visiting Jackson Hole. From visiting the National Elk Refuge to exploring the nearby National Parks, there is plenty of activities worth doing either solo or with the family. You can dog sled, snow tube, hike, snowshoe, snowmobile, or cross-country ski. If none of those activities sound like your thing, you can also take a sleigh ride through the refuge.

Shopping and Eats

While the middle of Wyoming is probably not your first thought as a foodie and shopping destination, Jackson Hole offers some of the most premier eats and shopping the country has to offer.

For food, you’ll find everything from first-class eats at the top of the mountain at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to an easy-going meal at Snake River Brewery. Surprisingly you’ll find some top-notch Thai food here as well! As for shopping, the square offers everything from touristy to high-class finds, and the shopping at the base of the mountain won’t disappoint.

Top Reasons to Visit Denver This Season http://centrecourt-apts.com/top-reasons-to-visit-denver-this-season/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/top-reasons-to-visit-denver-this-season/#respond Mon, 27 Jan 2020 21:40:35 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=12223

Whether your a ski bum, an avid traveler, or just someone looking to drink a bunch of craft beer, Denver is an amazing spot to visit in the Winter. As a town that gets more sun then one would expect, you’ll find yourself right at home in sunny downtown Denver even in the winter months. Here are the top five reasons to take a trip to Denver this winter.

Flights Are Inexpensive

If you’re traveling in from a major city like Austin, New York, or Los Angeles, flights into Denver can be pretty inexpensive if you use Google Flights. While it’s not always the case, one can typically find a flight for anywhere between $40 and $100 to fly direct to the beautiful city of Denver.

Breweries Galore

If you’re anything like me, you could spend days hopping from brewery to brewery in any town, and Denver is no exception. From the big boys like Coors to the less known breweries like Jagged Mountain or the Great Divide, you’re sure to find a beer you enjoy while brewery hopping around the city. Be sure to take the tour of the Coors factory even if you’re not a fan, they’ll give you a free brew at the end of it!

Rocky Mountain National Park

While this National Park isn’t located right in Denver proper, it’s close enough to travel to Denver and find yourself here. From Denver, be sure to navigate yourself to Estes Park, where you can see the hotel that inspired The Shining before you enter the park. If you’re a big National Park junkie, be sure to allow yourself a few days to explore the park, but even with just a day, you can discover all the wonders Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer.

Ski Resorts Just Outside the City

While you won’t find yourself skiing right downtown in the city of Denver, it’s close enough to a couple of really amazing resorts you’ll want to travel out to. While most are at least an hour’s drive away, it’s worth it to stay in Denver to get the best of both worlds. Ski bums be sure to stop by Keystone, Winter Park, and Araphoe Basin.

Top Places to Travel in the Midwest http://centrecourt-apts.com/top-places-to-travel-in-the-midwest/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/top-places-to-travel-in-the-midwest/#respond Mon, 20 Jan 2020 20:39:43 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=12219

While many people don’t think of the midwest as a top travel destination, there’s actually a couple of really great cities that are a great place to visit. Typically due to their low-interest to visitors in the wintertime, they also can provide a low-cost vacation for someone looking to travel in a pinch. While some might want to wait until spring to pack their bags, these five cities in the midwest are a great place to visit year-round.

Traverse City, Michigan

Something about Traverse City, no matter what the season, brings a feeling of home. This quaint and cozy town has everything all the big cities on this list have, just spread out amongst the beautiful coastline in Northern Michigan. From vineyards to sand dunes, you’re sure to find something that suits any type of traveler. Drive the Old Mission Peninsula and check out all the wineries and the lighthouse, shop in a former mental asylum or take a trip to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.

Indianapolis, Indiana

While many only think of Indianapolis when thinking about the Indy 500, I can promise you the city is more than just racing and fast cars. Year-round Indianapolis is a wonderful place to visit, and these are the top three things you need to do while visiting. Eat plenty of amazing meals from award-winning chefs, take a stroll at White River State Park, or visit the most war memorials in the U.S. outside of Washington D.C.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

If you’ve had a beer at all at any point in your life, you’re likely familiar with Milwaukee. Filled with top-notch breweries, Milwaukee is no stranger to beer lovers, and you’ll have to visit at least one brewery while you’re in town. Not a big drinker? Stop by the Milwaukee Art Museum or check out the Harley-Davison Museum. If you find yourself delaying your travels until summertime, be sure to come during Summerfest, the city’s annual lakefront music festival!

Chicago, Illinois

Probably the most popular city on our list, Chicago, Illinois is the largest city in the Midwest and the third-largest in the United States. While there are plenty of things to do in this booming city, be sure to check out either the Skydeck at Willis Tower or the 360 Chicago at the John Hancock building. Both of these amazing towers offer unparalleled views of the city you won’t want to miss. Don’t forget to check out any of the many architecture tours to get a better feel for the city, or snag a deep-dish pizza at nearly any restaurant that serves food.

Upgrade your To-Do List to Max out Productivity http://centrecourt-apts.com/upgrade-your-to-do-list-to-max-out-productivity/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/upgrade-your-to-do-list-to-max-out-productivity/#respond Mon, 13 Jan 2020 02:54:00 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=10873

Photo: HubSpot Blog

“A to-do list is a road map for your day,” says Paula Rizzo, author of Listful Thinking: Using Lists to Be More Productive, Successful, and Less Stressed. “It sets an intention so you know what you’re doing, but you can get derailed if you don’t use it correctly.”

Before you write your next to-do list, make sure you aren’t making these seven common mistakes.

1. Writing The List In The Morning

It may feel natural to create your to-do list first thing in the morning, but that’s too late. If you do that and you have an 8 a.m. meeting across town, you probably won’t be there. Instead, create your list the night before.

Writing the list at the end of the day allows you to leave work behind and transition into personal time. You go home and can stop thinking about your to-do list because you already created it and know what tomorrow’s to-do’s look like. Your mind can rest.

2. Including Too Many Tasks

If your to-do list includes so many tasks that it would take a few weeks or even months to complete, you’re setting yourself up for failure.Long lists are a problem because most people aren’t aware of how few productive hours we truly have in a day. Our mental energy is a far more limiting factor than time.

3. Including Someday Items

Aspirational tasks, like writing a book, don’t belong on a to-do list. If your to-do list says, ‘Climb Mount Everest and pick up milk,’ those are two items that should be on completely separate lists. Daily to-do lists should be focused. If you have a big project you want to complete, you can put it on your to-do list if you chunk it out into smaller, more attainable tasks.

4. Treating Each Item Equally

A good to-do list should be a priority list. Only add items that will move your career or business forward. If it’s not a priority, it should not be on the list. Non-priorities are just distractions.

5. Not Being Specific

People often write vague notes on a to-do list, but it can be difficult to take action if you have to stop and think how to proceed. If you have 10 minutes to get something done and a vague list, you’ll waste time trying to reconnect with each item on the list and remember what it means.

Take the few extra seconds, while you’re in planning mode and writing the list, to be as specific as you can be, so that when you’re taking on a task on the fly, you can just get it done. For example, instead of writing “expense report” on your list, write “enter receipts into spreadsheet.”

Four Attainable Goals worth setting for the New Year http://centrecourt-apts.com/four-attainable-goals-worth-setting-for-the-new-year/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/four-attainable-goals-worth-setting-for-the-new-year/#respond Wed, 01 Jan 2020 18:28:38 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=10751

It’s officially the New Year. 2020. You watched the ball drop with your family, you ate delicious snacks, and you took yourself to bed shortly after midnight. Now it’s time to ponder, “what will the New Year bring?” For some, it might be a new house, for others a new member of the family. But no matter what 2020 has in store for you, it’s important to set realistic and attainable goals. So here are a few realistic goals you could set to ring in the New Year!

1. Become a Puzzle Master

While puzzles are an incredible solo activity, It can’t go without mentioning the magic of doing them with others. As far as group activities go, they are an incredible choice. Yes, you could suggest smoking a joint or playing Cards Against Humanity at a gathering, but you’d do so with the knowledge that you might alienate some party goers. Puzzles though. You really can’t go wrong proposing a puzzle. They are especially good for times in which multiple generations will be together under one roof. Unlike card and board games, puzzles have no complicated rules to explain to new guests, nor do they ignite the sort of familial competitiveness that ends in tears or bloodshed.

All in all, completing a puzzle brings a tremendous feeling of accomplishment that can be found with no other game. It helps us to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the ones around us. So steak out some space lay out the pieces, and get to work. That puzzle isn’t going to solve itself.

2. Buy a Journal and fill it from front to back

Some people buy journals and never write in them, me being one of them. I have made it my goal this year to stick to writing, even if it is only one line a day. Writing gives people an escape that no other avenue can provide. Wheather you’re righting fiction stories, poetry, or even just documenting the thoughts you had that day, writing allows us to document our feelings in a long-lasting way. 40 years from now, you’ll pick up the journal etched with “2020” and you’ll be grateful you took some time to write some stuff down. What may feel pointless now, you’ll thank yourself for later.

Don’t know where to start? Grab a “One Line A Day” journal. These journals provide a little space for each day of the year, for a total of five years. It’s like twitter, but with pen and paper.

3. Travel to or live in the location of your dreams

I’ll admit it, I recently cashed in on my cushy job with the nice paycheck, to move out west and be a ski bum for a few months (which might turn into years). This is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. While change can be difficult, it’s a little easier when it’s someplace you’ve always wanted to be.

Can’t take the risk and quit the job? Use your vacation days. I know so many people that bank their vacation days and just take a paycheck at the end of the year. Make a vow to actually go somewhere you really want to go this year. I promise it will be worth it.

4. Get Healthy

I know, I know, this is a goal many of us set year after year but it always falls flat. Crazy diets paired with intense fitness classes after years of being unhealthy is going to trigger that gut, “I hate this” reaction. Instead of trying to go all in all at once, just make a conscious effort to be a little kinder to your body. For example, do you live a primarily sedentary lifestyle? Park further away from your office and walk, even if it’s just a few yards further. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

For me, getting healthy was more about cutting out fast food and learning how to cook. For years I only knew how to cook two things, Ramen Noodles and Mac and Cheese. So finally, I signed up for a meal delivery service, added a few items to my kitchen, and start cooking real food. Really want to stick to a certain? Blue Apron now has Whole30 approved recipes! Sign up and see how easy it can be to cook a good and healthy meal.

There you have it folks, four totally achievable goals for 2020. Happy New Year and happy goal setting!

Travel like a Minimalist this Holiday Season http://centrecourt-apts.com/travel-like-a-minimalist-this-holiday-season/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/travel-like-a-minimalist-this-holiday-season/#respond Wed, 11 Dec 2019 00:57:26 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=12178 You don’t have to purchase specific travel products to travel like a minimalist. While the right gear and packing light can keep your bag’s weight at a minimum and get you out the door faster, it’s not just about what you bring. Instead, it’s about freeing up space in your bag.

Photo: Getty Images

Packing Light in a Single Carry-On Bag

Say goodbye to bag fees, long waits to check or retrieve baggage, and the stress of lost luggage. Most airlines will allow you at least one carry-on item for free. Depending on which airline you fly, you might even get a carry-on as well as a personal item. Roll your items and pack them tight, being sure to leave room for a small bag of the items you’ll need onboard. Once you’re at your gate, pull this smaller bag out of your luggage when you’re ready to board and tuck it back in when you land to keep your hands free at the airport.

Dress in Layers

Try to pack a number of layer-able items that can be worn together or taken off to better suit any weather. Think a light sweater that can be worn by itself or under a jacket, dresses that can be paired with pants or leggings, and tops that can stand alone or slip under everything you brought.

Mix and Match

It’s important to pack items that you can mix and match together to create many different outfits. Similar to dressing in layers, it’s important that you bring items you could potentially wear more than once. Such as bringing only one or two pairs of pants for a week-long trip, and just switching up the top. Try not to bring anything that can only be worn with one other item (unless you need something fancy for an important event).

Toast: the ultimate simple breakfast food. It’s there for you on rushed mornings and easy Sunday’s alike. There is nothing easier than popping a couple pieces in the toaster while you make your coffee. Of course, that toast breakfast will keep you going longer if you opt for whole grains and get some healthy fats or protein in the mix.

If you have a more time for slicing, avocado toast is the healthy millennial trend that just keeps giving. The perfect avocado toast is so simple, it’s all about quality ingredients: crusty bread, buttery avocado, a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, a dash of flaky salt. Want to make it even better? Add a few cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of goat cheese. This is a toast recipe I could eat day after day.

If you’re already a fan, you know the perfect avocado toast is a beautiful thing. But if you’re ready to step it up and go beyond avocado, here are nine fresh and delicious ways to trick out your morning tartine, from nut butter and fresh fruit to eggs and smoked sandwiches.

1. Avocado, Radishes, and Sprouts

Avocado toast is all very well, but why not knock out some of your veggies for the day? Spring radishes and sprouts add irresistible crunch.

2. Hummus, Cucumber, and Tomato

Pump up your plant protein intake with a swipe of garbanzo beans. Then pile on the garden fresh veggies, like juicy tomatoes and cucumbers. (Bonus: the vitamin C in the tomatoes will help you absorb the iron from the chickpeas!)

3. Almond Butter, Strawberries, and Blueberries

Nutrition experts would love for you to eat a small handful of nuts every day. Spread it on toast with 2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond butter, topped with a serving of superfood berries.

4. Hazelnut Butter, Bananas, and Cocoa Nibs

If you crave chocolate and hazelnut, try this healthy twist. Pair hazelnut butter with sweet bananas and crunchy cocoa nibs for a satisfying combo. Look for pure hazelnut butter without added sugar or palm oil, and if you can’t find it, swap in your favorite 100-percent nut butter.

5. Cottage Cheese, Peaches, and Fresh Mint

Low-fat dairy gets protein and calcium into your morning. And no, it isn’t crazy to put ½ cup low-fat cottage cheese on toast—it’s low in calories but help you feel full for hours. Sliced fruit and fresh mint make it anything but old school.

6. Ricotta, Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, and Black Pepper

Word on the street is that ricotta toast is the new avocado toast. ¼ cup part-skim ricotta cheese packs 7 grams of protein, and it’s the perfect canvas when tomatoes are in peak season.

7. Smoked Salmon, Sprouts, and Everything Spice

For a healthy and happy heart, enjoy at least two servings of fatty fish every week. A few slices of smoked salmon does contain some sodium, but also awesome omega-3 fatty acids. Skip the bagel but savor the flavor with a sprinkle of everything spice.

8. Skyr, Bay Shrimp, Lemon and Dill

Take inspiration from the Scandinavian diet, and try skyr, which contains more protein than other types of yogurt. Balance little bay shrimp on top, brightened with lemon zest and fresh dill.

9. Mushrooms, Egg, and Thyme

When you need protein, put an egg on it! You could slide an egg on your avocado toast, but mushroom toast is underrated and delicious—especially with a sprinkle of fresh herbs.

Surprising Health Benefits of Drinking Beer http://centrecourt-apts.com/surprising-health-benefits-of-drinking-beer/ http://centrecourt-apts.com/surprising-health-benefits-of-drinking-beer/#respond Fri, 27 Sep 2019 17:45:10 +0000 http://centrecourt-apts.com/?p=10176
beer

Science | HowStuffWorks

Now you’re probably thinking to yourself, how the heck can beer be good for you? Little do many know that there are many health benefits to enjoying a beer every once in a while. From heart health to wits, here are 10 reasons to have a beer right now.

1. Heart Health

Now wine usually gets all the credit when it comes to boozy ways of cutting back your cardiovascular disease risk, but beer can be just as beneficial. Italian researchers have found that moderate beer drinkers have 42% lower risk of heart disease compared to non-beer drinkers. For maximum benefits, cut yourself off after one pint that contains 5% ABV.

2. Brain power

OKAY, so we all know after like 7 beers there is no such thing as brain power. But drink a couple brews and try to solve a puzzle? You got this. A study of 40 men watched a movie while completing verbal puzzles, and the beer buzzed fam solved the problems a few seconds faster than their sober counterparts. So drink up and let the creativity flow.

3. Prevent Diabetes

So if you can somehow manage to stick to just one or two beers during happy hour, you now have lowered your risk for type two diabetes. Need proof? Dutch researchers analyzed 38,000 male health professionals. They found that the men they studied drank in moderation over the course of four years and were significantly less likely to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes than their nondrinking friends.

4. Kidney Health

So if you drink a beer daily, you are at a lower risk of passing a kidney stone anytime soon.  Researchers can’t really explain the link between drinking and fewer kidney stones but speculate it has something to do with the frequent bathroom trips that come with having more than a few beers. They also suspect that the hops in beer may be responsible as they help slow the release of calcium from your bones.

5. Workout Recovery

Now this seems a little out of the ordinary. In a study of what’s more hydrating after a workout puts your body temp at about 104 degrees, it was found that students who drank beer instead of water were more hydrated. May I suggest a post workout pint?
